Kathryn “Katie” Ionata is a Pushcart Prize-nominated fiction writer and poet. Her writing has appeared in or is forthcoming from Philadelphia Stories, The Wisconsin Review, The Hawai’i Review, U.S. 1 Worksheets, Aries, Schuylkill Valley Journal, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Tav, and elsewhere.
Kathryn earned her MFA in Creative Writing Fiction at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she also graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a BA in English. She teaches writing at The College of New Jersey and Temple University.
Kathryn’s fiction focuses on topics such as families, relationships, Italian-American identity, and Philadelphia. She lives in Pennsylvania.
